Using other/own server

I have a MatchX gateway, and it is working fine.

May I know what steps should I take to route the UDP traffic from my gateway to another server (TTN or my own)?

Do I just change the change the server_address below on the web config? And once I have changed this server, would I still be able to login back onto MatchX cloud (since this is already pointing to another server)?

"gateway_conf": {
/* change with default server address/ports, or overwrite in local_conf.json */
"server_address": "as1x.matchx.io",
"serv_port_up": 1700,
"serv_port_down": 1700,
/* adjust the following parameters for your network */
"keepalive_interval": 10,
"stat_interval": 30,
"push_timeout_ms": 100,
/* forward only valid packets */
"forward_crc_valid": true,
"forward_crc_error": false,
"forward_crc_disabled": false,
/* GPS configuration */
"gps_tty_path": "/dev/ttyS1",
/* GPS reference coordinates */
"ref_latitude": 0.0,
"ref_longitude": 0.0,
"ref_altitude": 0
}

yes, server_address is what you need to change.
In my case in order to use The Things Network eu router I did adjust configuration:

from:
"server_address": "eux.matchx.io",

to:
/*"server_address": "eux.matchx.io",*/
"server_address": "router.eu.thethings.network",

(In my case I did not need to change the port as TTN also listens on port 1700)

Thank you!

I have changed the server setting to point at "asia-se.thethings.network" with TTN Gateway ID set to eui-40d63cfffe02126e where 40d63cfffe02126e is the gateway MAC address obtained from MatchX web. However, on TTN console, it shows "not connected"... Did I do something wrong?

Thanks again...

Strange, I cannot find asia-se.thethings.network on TTN page www.thethingsnetwork.org/docs/gateways/p...der/semtech-udp.html

you could try if it works with one of Asia router hostnames from the list available on TTN link..

Region Router address
router.eu.thethings.network EU 433 and EU 863-870
router.us.thethings.network US 902-928
router.cn.thethings.network China 470-510 and 779-787
router.as.thethings.network Southeast Asia 923 MHz
router.as1.thethings.network Southeast Asia 920-923 MHz
router.as2.thethings.network Southeast Asia 923-925 MHz
router.kr.thethings.network Korea 920-923 MHz
router.jp.thethings.network Japan 923-925 MHz (with EIRP cap according to Japanese regulations)
thethings.meshed.com.au Australia 915-928 MHz
as923.thethings.meshed.com.au Australia (Southeast Asia 923MHz frequency plan)
ttn.opennetworkinfrastructure.org Switzerland (EU 433 and EU 863-870)
